Dr. Pavanaja I'm not sure, but I think it's due to the Console itself not using UniScribe on it's display surface. (The Console is a text display surface used by CMD.EXE and several other "console" applications). I remember several "GUI" command prompts from the Windows 3.x days. These allowed the use of any kind of font. So if someone created a non-console version of CMD.EXE, that could display Indic etc. Come to think of it, I'm relatively free nowadays.
