Hi Friends

I am working on asp.net application version 1.1. Please
throw some light on this question or give some suitable references/links
related
to that.

Let us suppose we have a web datagrid and we have
to bind the grid with 1000 records using built feature of datagrid paging.
Now the question is :
Does the DataGrid control keep all the 1000 records in its view state even
though the
grid data is paged? If not, how does it get the data for subsequent pages?

If the Grid does keep all
the 1000 rows in viewstate, then what
are the workarounds so that the grid keeps only those rows that are needed for
the current page.

Thanks
Vivek Vashistha
