Hi sudha

The funda is

Suppose if you created WebForm1.aspx & WebForm1.aspx.cs

while compiling ......

your WebForm1.aspx will be converted to a class(like WebForm1_aspx)

and that will be deriving from WebForm1 class defined in WebForm1.aspx.cs

Now class WebForm1. is the base class of WebForm1_aspx

If u want to access a base class member from derived class
U have to declare that member as protected/public in base class

Hope this will clear ur doubts

Bineesh
