Hello Shitalpdesai,

   Your code has a problem.  

   You have to call the accept changes  after calling the update 

i.e 
da.Update(dt, "Region")      //First call the update
dt.Tables(0).AcceptChanges() // then call the accept changes.

The reason is when u call the acceptchanges for a table all the current row
version will replace the original row version and hence all the rows in the
table will have UnChanged state so your dataadapter.update will have no rows
for it to process.

When u call the update first after adding a new row. The new row will have a
Added state and hence the dataadapter will process this row using its
InsertCommand   and will update your underlying  database/table.

hello friends,
i trying to insert one record in sql database table using
dataset.acceptchanges, but i am not able to do so. 
i have given my code below, please tell me whats wrong in this.

Dim dt As DataSet

da = New SqlDataAdapter("Select * from Region", strConnect) dt = New DataSet
da.Fill(dt, "Region") Dim dr As DataRow dr = dt.Tables(0).NewRow

dt.Tables(0).Rows.Add(dr)
dt.Tables(0).AcceptChanges() 
da.Update(dt, "Region") please let me know as early as possible, any help
