Two more ways...   (n+1)th way: one can cache the dataset n use it in 
successive pages [make ur dataset as light as possible b4 doing so]   (n+2)th 
way: Create a web service to populate the dataset and call the web service... 
set the buffer response property to false as the resulting dataset may be 
huge... by default the buffer response is set to 'true' 
<WebMethod(BufferResponse:= "False)> <WebMethod(CacheDuration:=500)>   I am not 
sure abt the problems/side effects of the above discussed methods... but these
