----------------------------------------------------------- From: LovedJohnySmith Message 2 in Discussion Siddhartha: When you try to create an instance of a ChartObject in a project that you try to compile, you recieved that error, am i rite? This is cause of a ChartObject object encapsulates a metadata property to be included in an chart image file. A ChartObject is not intended to be used a stand-alone object. A Chartobject is intended to be used by classes that are derived from 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine'. A Chartobject is used to retive and change the metadata of existing chart image file, not to create the meta data. Therefore, the ChartObject class doesn't have a defined Public constructor, and you cannot create an instance of a chartobject. To work around this problem, use an existing ChartObject instead of creating a new instance of the ChartObject Class.
