 Hi all,

I have developed a business web application on .net framework 1.1
visual studio 2003, recentely on one of machine i installed .net framework 1.1
service pack1 and added some asp.net pages to application from this machine and
which are accessing database through interop component deployed in com+ (vb
dll). On building this application on this machine and running these
application pages on a different machine with .net framework 1.1 only returned
the error "Data Provider or other services returned E_FAIL status" and it not
allowed to access any of the interop component deployed in com+ further once it
crashed with this error, where as before accsing th these new pages all other
pages which are added before installing service pack1 are worked properly(which
are also accesing same interop component in com+). After long investingation
(as we were not aware that this is happening because of service pack1) we found
the machine running the application is not having service pack1, So we
installed service pack1 and these new pages started working properly. But we
could not able to differentiate between page added in framework 1.1 and page
added in framework 1.1 with service pack1. The strange thing is the pages
added before service pack 1 and page with service pack1 are bauilt on the
machine with visual studio 2003 with service pack1, if any attribute applied by
.net framework 1.1 service pack1 should have affected all the pages, which is
not the case and only pages added in service pack1 are affected. That's is
problem, what is that extra thing in these new pages?.......which causing the
error?

Please anyone encountered this problem and got the detailed reason
please let me know, thanks in advance.

 Regards

 Chandru
