Hi, By what i understand from your description you have a remote server and
a web app that hits the remote server (if not, then give me more details)
Coming to your prob, I feel you are trying to register the client at multiple
places in your web app. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. You must register your client
ONLY ONCE, typically in the application startup code (global.asax). Whenever
your client wants to use the remote object, it just instantiates and uses it.
You must make the server a single-call object so that you have a new instance
for every request. Global.asax
void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// Code that runs on application startup
RemotingConfiguration.Configure(Server.MapPath("..\\..\\RemotingConfig.Config"),false);

}
Config file in the server:
<configuration>
<system.runtime.remoting>
<application>
<channels>
<channel ref="tcp" port="1234">
<serverProviders>
<formatter ref="binary"/>
</serverProviders>
</channel>
</channels>
<service>
<wellknown mode="SingleCall"
type="CacheServer.RemoteCacheServer, CacheServer"
objectUri="RemoteCacheServer.rem" />
</service>
</application>
</system.runtime.remoting>
</configuration>
I hope this helps. If there's is anything I can help, let me know. Also, let me
know if this worked.
