Pravi,     if you want to print this query in DG. then you have to use basic 
object like - sqlcommand or dataadapter with dataset. and SqlDataReader with 
Sqlcommand.

I got the selected item from dropdown list.Now how can i place the out put of 
the query in a DataGrid? i want the syntax or coding?
This is the code that i have written,,,But not getting the query out put??  Dim 
id As String  Dim seq As String  id = DropDownList1.SelectedValue  seq = 
"SELECT Name FROM test WHERE ID =" + DropDownList1.SelectedValue  
DataGrid1.DataSource = seq  DataGrid1.DataBind()  Pleas help me...
