 Hi   There is no need of Threading.. Here's the simple way to do it..   Use a 
public variable, say "working" of type boolean... While the progress on 
periodically check if its value true.. if it is false, terminate the progress.. 
Make sure you set its value to be true before starting the progress...   If you 
want to show a progress on a progressbar in form2, use  
form2.progressbar1.Value = percentvalue Application.DoEvents()   To stop the 
progress from Form2, just use Form1.working = False   I've attached a sample 
code... Please go through it, you'll understand better...   Hope you find this 
useful
