The July Boulder Ruby meeting is next week on Tuesday July 19th at 7pm. Pivotal Labs is generously providing both food and beer for the meeting for those that want to come a bit early to hang out and socialize. Doors open at 6:30 for such activity.
Tim Pease will present on Ruby Application Basics to start us off. Often times a simple one-off Ruby script needs to be turned into a full fledged application complete with command line option parsing, logging, daemonization, and configuration. This talk will take a look at various tools for accomplishing these tasks. Along the way will be some examples of best practices and creating a cohesive whole from these various parts. Following that, Gerred Dillon will talk about building high performance, API-driven applications using Goliath and managing them using Foreman. All in all should be an awesome meeting so I hope to see you all there.
