Hey Everyone,

I wanted to pass this on from Mike Moore over in Salt Lake. There's
not a lot of time between now and Nov 12th but I wanted you to read
this over and ponder it before next week's meeting. We can talk about
what we'd like to try and coordinate.

Cheers,
Marty

Subject: [reg-rubyconf-orgz] RubyDay

I quietly announced RubyDay on teh twitterz this afternoon. My plan is
simple; a low key unconference/open space for folks in my area to get
together and chat about Ruby. If we can get some sponsors to pay for
food, great. If not, no big deal. My goal is to keep it free, but I
may charge a small registration fee if we think too many folks will
show up.
But, I have plans. Oh, so many plans. What about all of you that don't
live in the Rocky Mountain region of these glorious United States?
What then? Well, I'd love to be able to stream the proceedings to you
online. (See previous comment about sponsors.) But, wouldn't it be
better if there was an event close to you where you could meet with
your local folks? I think so.
So I'm putting the word out. We can turn this simple local event into
a worldwide movement. You too can put on a one day unconference. No
need for speakers or fancy marketing plans. This is a call to action!
Hit me up on IRC and we'll make magic happen.
