Most people know how to manipulate data in spreadsheets and how to build web pages and graphs. But doing everything by hand can get tedious and error-prone. The Ruby programming language can save you time by manipulating data and building web pages and graphs for you.
In this workshop, we'll give you a table of data about last year's well-known pro bicycle race in Colorado and some Ruby source code to create web pages and graphs from that data. We'll also give you a series of exercises that ask you to change the source code to do something slightly differently. We'll go through and solve the puzzles together. You don't have to know the details of Ruby to solve the puzzles, but if you do want to learn more, consider enrolling in DaVinci Coders's Ruby on Rails course <http://davincicoders.com/>. Light food, snacks, and refreshments will be provided. *Please Note:* Please bring a computer. Mac, Windows, and Linux are okay. No prior programming experience required. *DAVINCI CODERS:* For anyone wanting to know more about DaVinci Coders<http://davincicoders.com/>, this is a great way to get started. Please plan to join us for this remarkable event... and the best part, it's FREE.
