Hey Guys and Gals! Remember Boulder Ruby Group is tomorrow April 23rd.
The speaker lineup looks great and Jeff Casmir even has his topic now :) "Rethinking Persistence Models". Whenever you have a complicated technical implementation it's a sign that you're chasing the wrong idea. Rails' callbacks are complicated. Maybe they're a symptom of a bigger, more systematic problem. In this session, we'll look at a strategy, pattern, and tooling to support pulling business logic away from persistence, allowing us to encapsulate responsibility without relying on *the magic*. We will also be hosting Jose Valim and he will be giving his RubyConf talk "You've got a Sinatra on your Rails." Which can be found here http://railsconf.com/2013/talks#talk-1 Finally if you are a beginner or want to brush up on writing tests the dashing John Foley will be giving a talk/workshop for the beginners at 6. Titled "How to spot the differences between a good and a bad test." Remember there will be Pizza and beer and speakers start around 7:30. Can't wait to see you tomorrow. Austin
