The beagle board has an expansion connector that can be configured several different ways. Basically, we think we can connect the pins to the FPGA and the configure the FPGA to match the expansion connector configuration.

I believe I can start testing this soon using the board Brian mentioned and this card http://www.bitec.ltd.uk/hsmc_proto.html so I can connect the beagle board to the FPGA card with a simple ribbon cable.

The expansion connector is described in http://www.beagleboard.org/uploads/Beagle_HRM_B4.pdf in section 8.17.

I know what an FPGA is and can follow along when looking at verilog, so any advice is helpful :)
