It depends on the LCD. The AM335x can directly talk to most panels that use plain video signals (red, green, blue, and sync signals), you just need to wire up the connector correctly. You'll need interface hardware if the LCD panel uses differential high-speed signaling, and you might need some hardware to drive the back-light.
