Excuse my ignorance, but could you point me to an "idiots guide" for
download/building this kernel. The README.md still mentions the 3.8 kernel.
Is it simply a matter of RTFM plus changing 3.8 to 3.12?
David,

I just pushed an update to fix the readme file.
Thanks. I will try that
Still confused. If I try to clone using:

git clone https://github.com/beagleboard/kernel.git

I get the README.md:
dlambert@development ~/src/kernel $ cat README.md
kernel
======

Kernel for the beagleboard.org boards

usage
======

beaglebone-3.2 patchset:

git checkout origin/beaglebone-3.2 -b beaglebone-3.2
d

but with :

git clone https://github.com/beagleboard/kernel/tree/3.12

I get the correct README.md, but the checkout fails with:

https://github.com/beagleboard/kernel/tree/3.12/info/refs not found: did you run git update-server-info on the server?

We can probably simplify a few more things in it.

Does Angstrom use zImage or uImage for the bbb in the default flasher image?
Mine uses uImage

HTH,

Dave.
