I have killed a dozen sd cards running RaspPi. Frustrating thing is that it happens after a few days. Sold off about a doz RasbPi and vowed never to touch it again.
Have run the same software on BBB in outdoors condition of a week. Works good. So far BBB with angstrom works good. Excepting for the 4th BBB card, could not dd from sd card to emmc. Worked fine for the first 3 cards. Having to upgrade OS from sd card is not a good idea as I had to re-install packages and apps.
