Hi,

After building a custom patched kernel for Ubuntu, it only installs partly.
The parts that are not taken care of by dpkg (creating new symbolic links
in /boot), I do manually. After reboot, the kernel gets loaded, but then
the system hangs: "Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel.".
Looking for a cause and a cure, I find this:
http://www.labbookpages.co.uk/electronics/beagleBoard/files/custom/kernel-2.6.36-bb-xm-mmc-fix.patch

which is clearly not for my 3.5.7 kernel. However, I wonder if such a mmc
fix patch is necessary to get my kernel running fine on the BBxM or is this
patch already brought into mainstream ?

Thanks.
