Hi all,

Is it possible to enable an external clock signal (preferably by way of
Timer7) on the Beaglebone Black via just the device tree? A combination of
the device tree and sysfs? I've been able to get these working through
Starterware, but have not been successful under Debian. I've tried tweaking
stuff with overlays, but I don't really see anything in the bindings or in
sysfs that speaks to the registers as I would recognize them (although I
see 4804a000.timer in various locations and that address looks consistent
with what I've manipulated in Starterware). Ideally I would like to be able
to enable an external signal via DMTimer 7, but one of the PWMs would be
good too. I'm find of a noob at all of this, so any help appreciated! BTW,
the version of Debian I'm running is: Linux beaglebone 3.8.13-bone70 #1 SMP
