Leave the PRU input (P9.42B) alone.  Export the other pin (P9.42) as
GPIO and set it to drive high.  Since the pins are wired together on
the BBB, the PRU should see the input as '1'.

Make sure you switch P9.42 back to input before hooking it to whatever
signal source you're planning on using.
