Hello everybody.
I'm an engineering student and for my final thesis I will work with the
beaglebone black.
The project is aimed to allow two beaglebone black to communicate wirelessly in
real-time.
The data that has to be transmitted will come from an ethernet cable, using
Powerlink (http://www.ethernet-powerlink.org). So from one side there will be
the ethernet cable connected to the sensor, the beaglebone and the wifi module,
from the other side another bbb +wifi connected via ethernet to a computing
unit.
The goal is to create a diagnosis infrastructure for not easily accessible
parts via cables in industrial environment (e.g. Rotating parts).
Since I'm totally new to the beaglebone, I would like to ask you if this is a
feasible project, if there are wireless modules that allow this kind of
behavior or if there is some documentation talking about the topic.
Any type of help or suggestion is very welcome, if something is not clear I can
provide more details. Thank you!
