Its not clear from your message if the example you refer to is working or 
not. 
Are you asking for help in getting the example to work on BBBW or just how 
to write serial data?

If it is just getting serial comms working then I'd suggest you look at the 
source for the TI Linux side 802.15.4 example to understand how to use the 
serial port.
