Hi all:

I'm new to the Beancount world and I'm trying to get started. One thing
that's confusing me a little is that the repo
<https://github.com/beancount/beancount?tab=readme-ov-file#documentation> says
the current version is v3, but the documentation index
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RaondTJCS_IUPBHFNdT8oqFKJjVJDsfsn6JEjBG04eA/>

says that "As of summer 2020, a rewrite to C++ is underway.", and the links
to individual docs point to v2 docs (eg
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/11EwQdujzEo2cxqaF5PgxCEZXWfKKQCYSMfdJowp_1S8/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.gmhz8vh65l8g>),

with the v3 docs (eg
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hBfsHZcoHgz5rvhCdP42g2FJ5ouycIMV4H1tfgXpwBU/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.gmhz8vh65l8g>)

saying they're currently in development......

Am I reading all this wrong? Apologies if the answer is very obvious and
I'm being dense! What documentation should I be reading?

In case it makes a difference, my current intended workflow - at least for
testing - is to run all this locally using fava.

Thanks,

Daniel
