[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEEHIVE-195?page=comments#action_59660 ] Bryan Che commented on BEEHIVE-195: -----------------------------------
This patch doesn't support running/deploying/stopping appservers with beehive--it just addresses the build files' dependency on getting jars from tomcat. So, I think that it still is a good candidate for inclusion with beehive. I'm still waiting for all the apache paperwork to go through, so I don't have access to the tree yet to commit this myself. If we agree that abstracting out the build dependency is fine, then I can push this through once I finally gain access to the svn tree. > Beehive Distribution should work with app servers besides just Tomcat > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: BEEHIVE-195 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEEHIVE-195 > Project: Beehive > Type: Improvement > Components: Build > Versions: V1Beta > Reporter: Bryan Che > Assignee: Bryan Che > Fix For: V1Beta > Attachments: appserver-patch.tar.gz, dist-appserver-patch.tar.gz > > The Beehive distribution requires CATALINA_HOME to be set in order to pick up > servlet api jars. It should instead be configurable to work with various app > servers and pick up the servlet api jars anywhere. I will be attaching a > patch to support this requirement. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - If you want more information on JIRA, or have a bug to report see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
