Hi,
Do you have plans to support jingle video chat in Beem? I have tried
the development version, but that doesn't seem te be working: when I
call a client on my linux machine, I don't see any video; and when I
call another beem-client, nothing happens.
Do you have more info on what is already implemented for enabling
jingle videochat on Android.
Thanks,
Johannes
Hello Johannes,
We are far from having some kind of video in a near future I guess :)
Also about linux clients compatibility, it's also quite complicated
since the jingle implementation in smack is quite old and seems to be
not so compatible with other more recent implementation (I have tested
libpurple and gajim only) ...
I will take a look on the current code, it must be possible in our
beem-jingle branch to make a call between 2 beem clients if they are
in the same network.

Nikita
Hi again Johannes,
I have pushed some bug fix on our jingle branch, indeed we had a bug on
the call so you were unable to call another beem client, but it's fixed
now if you want to test it.
But, I haven't tested it with non-beem clients yet, so I doubt that it
will work out of the box if you want to call someone who is using
pidgin/jitsi/gajim and co (but maybe I'm wrong).
Thanks,

Nikita
