Hi again,
I've rebased the Mercurial project to revision 960, 0.1.7 update version
for release, recreated the eclipse project a couple of times (for some
reasons it only picked up the changes the second time) and now I can
compile with Android 2.2 and run/debug from within eclipse.
So discard my previous email.

Hi guys,
Congrats for the nice job with Beem - your commitment for a project
you started as students is admirable. Keep it up!
I've downloaded the latest sources from Mercurial and tried to build &
install on an emulator.
A couple of issues/requests:
* You mention in the Install file that Beem is build with 2.1 or
more and I see that this is true, as the application I downloaded
from Play runs smoothly on my 2.3.3 phone, but the app in trunk
requires 3.0 or more as it uses attributes available from API 11
onwards.
If I target the 2.3.3 API it won't compile.
How can I get it to compile for 2.1? (can I find a tag/branch or
something like this on mercurial?)
* I would like to modify your project in Eclipse - as I'm working on
Windows - I'm having difficulties making it work as an eclipse
project (I can compile it from Eclipse with Ant but not as an
Eclipse project).
Do you have any experience with such endeavors? Could you give me
some steps to take to make work as an eclipse project?
Best regards,
Dragos
