Hi Dragos Andronic, I am sorry for the long delay.

That's why we make it available on the GPLv3 licence. Tweak it like you want as long as you respect the licence. http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html for more details. > Now we would like your permission to: > > * modify the layout of the modified beem to clearly indicate that this > is intended to be used only for TxtFeedback - e.g. modify the logo > to say "Beem for TxtFeedback" > * make the modified Beem available for our clients (it will not be > published on Android market but only made available to our clients > as apk) > * make a note on our website that we are using Beem as a backend > application for the Android platform (note: we are not charging > money for our clients for using the flavoured Beem - it is an > operational alternative to our web dashboard) No problems for all of that. But you will have to make the source code of your modified version available for your clients. > * regarding the sources/changes - I don't know if it makes sense to > make a branch on your SVN - the changes are rather small and very > much business specific > * we will add support for message carbons > <http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0280.html>, as we are using them on > our platform- the changes regarding this can be pushed back to your > trunk (if you are interested in supporting carbons) We are very interesting for the support of message carbons and it will be a good thing to merge the changes when done. The other changes may be not so important but it will be a good thing to see them too (may be you fix some bugs we don't catch) > What's your opinion about this? Do you think we can make this work? I hope you have not wait for our answer to do most of the things you want. We are OK with your proposal as long as the licence is respected.
