The Camel Book is the O'Reilly Book _Programming Perl_. I started out
with the second edition, but it is now in its 3rd Edition. The Llama
book, _Learning Perl_, also from O'Reilly, is a good one if you need a bit
more basic and friendly introduction and less technical details on Perl.
As for perldoc, this is a tool that comes bundled with your Perl
distribution. Just go to the command-line (even in Windows) and type
'perldoc perldoc' to start off with. If you have ActiveState Perl, a lot
of the perldoc stuff is on the HTML documenation pages that come with
ActiveState.
