Yep, you're right on the money with that. It does indeed seem petty. So did Randal "I am Unhealthily Obsessed With The Flinstones" Schwartz's earlier post. One would assume (apparently erroneously, however) that the "perl community" would generally be more enncouraging than discouraging the kind of effort the original poster put forth. Anyway, this thread wasn't a complete waste.
