have you got
use Net::FTP;
at the top of your script??

I'm trying to get my program to retrieve a file through ftp. However I keep
getting the error "can't call method login" for the following line:
'$ftp->login( $username , $password )'
and doesn't retrieve the file.
I can't see where I made an error in this line. Any ideas?
