Hi All:
I'm creating html pages using perl on a Linux box for www display. The
pages are stored on the Linux box and viewed across a network. When I view
the resulting file in Netscape 4.? (on a Windoz '98 box) it displays fine.
But when I view it in IE 6.?b (same box) all of the lines are run together.
It is as if I've got the wrong end of line character but I can't seem to
find the correct one to use. I'm using "\n" in my code and I've modified
"$/" to "=" and back to "\n". When I view the source in Netscape,
everything looks fine but MSIE doesn't acknowledge the end of line
character. What am I doing wrong? My 930 page goat choker of a Perl 5
manual must have it somewhere but it is not logically listed in the index.
