Much of the stuff that was removed was due to the change in authors and a bit of spiffing up though you may all send roses and chocolates to the Editor who didn't include the goofy dialogues between TomP and Randal throughout the book :) I don't have the Llama's handy but as I recall the 3rd had a lot of new material and I remember there being far fewer references to the Flintstones :) Overall the 3rd Ed. is a major improvement especially for anyone who may have been previously intimidated by the 2nd ed. And the 3rd.
