I've been thinking of jumping to Cygwin for a while. Does anyone know how it interacts with existing installations of ActivePerl and other stuff (vim, gawk)?
Does it replace them with its own version, or does it figure out that they already exist on your system? Do you mean Cygwin? It's a UNIX environment for windows. Check out the front page at www.cygwin.com. -----Original Message----- From: Tyler Mace [mailto:tyler@;sunergize.com] Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 2:03 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Off the subject a bit, but I want to know... I heard about Sygwin when reading the Re:IDE letter, and it is kinda funny, but I downloaded it yesterday. I haven't used it yet, but I am wonder what it is how it works and how I can use it to my advantage in this M$ world. Thanks.
