Hi all. It's good to be back on the list. I'm an IT pro in AL trying to set up some continuing ed classes at UAB. I've scheduled classes twice, but so far registration has been nil.
Isn't there a client base for this sort of thing out here? I know Randal Schwartz does classes. (Hi, Randal -- I just bought the 3rd ed. Llama book to look over, since that's what we're using for the scheduled class; great work! :) Surely there's a market, but I don't know how to reach that it. The university is sponsoring the class, and I'd even be happy to travel as long as it didn't cost me, but we just aren't getting any response. I'm not even really trying to make money, here. I need to cover my time and expenses, but I just love to teach, and love the language. Anyone have any advice on how to drum up business?
