You're preaching to the choir my friend. That's all I use is mysql and Perl. But a customer has an access database they want to use on the web and I was needing to figure out the easiest way to grab that data and put it in mysql. I'm having them export it into a text documant so I can put it into mysql no sweat. I'm with you, using Access is like using FrontPage and like wearing a wool sweater to the beach: You don't get a sunburn but its wool and a sweater and it's 90 degrees. You do the math! :) Thanks Dan > > -- Kurt > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dan Muey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Tuesday, June 17, 2003 3:51 PM > Subject: Access DB > > > Hello faithful list! > > Has anyone worked with Microsoft Access Databases with perl? > > I either need to run a query on a remote Access Database or > Have the people that have that database save it in CSV format > or something to import it into mysql. > > Any ideas how best to deal with Access Databases with perl? > > I looked at CPAN and found nothing and I don't know squat > about Access as I prefer mysql! > > TIA > > Dan > > -- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
