Of course there is the MakeMaker module, but I'm not entirely clear on how to use this for my
purposes, particularly since I want a common makefile for extensions in multiple
scripting languages: Perl, Python, Tcl, Ruby, Pike etc.
I'm using Swig 1.3.23 to generate the interface files.
