Well, I'm processing from a Linux box, and the files are created on the same box, however your comment tipped me off: for some reason I need to open the files with '<:crlf' to get this to work. For the record what happened here is that I had shared calendars in SquirrelMail and I upgraded the shared calendar plugin. When I did that the old entries stopped showing up, and the reason why is that they didn't have the time components. Anyway, changing to '<:crlf' fixed the problem I was having, so thanks again for all the tips. Now I can continue on and actually make the program change the files. --J(K) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
