You'll notice that you did just that, sent yourself this message twice (Cc: Chad Perrin; beginners@perl.org). Let's agree to disagree. This discussion is off-topic for this list and has gone on long enough. I think that an earlier poster (Randal, maybe?) had the most appropriate perspective on this issue as it relates to _this_ list: <paraphrase> Learn to use a given resource (i.e. encyclopedia, mailing list, atlas) correctly to increase your returns. </paraphrase> When I first joined this list, I top-posted out of habit when dealing with non-technical types. I argued in favor of it (when asked not to by another list member) only to realize that in order to effectively communicate with _this_ list, I should adhere to the standards set forth by its list managers and related community. This is true of other tenants maintained on this list (do some personal research, try some code, post code when asking questions, etc.). Since then, I've found this resource incredibly helpful. Along with the technical tools and know-how one possesses, flexibility and adaptability are additional qualities one should consider. You'll go a lot farther and be more effective. ry Perl: Flexibility, Adaptability -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
