Hi Andrew,

To support some features in OpenCL2.0 like generic pointer, you should need to
use LLVM3.8 or master. And we will add more features and you may need to use
LLVM master.

Thanks
Xiuli

Subject: [Beignet] Compile error with OCL2.0 branch and llvm-3.6

Compiling OCL2.0 branch on Ubuntu 14.04 with llvm-3.6, I get the following
error:
beignet/backend/src/llvm/llvm_gen_backend.cpp:1470:25: error: ‘const class
llvm::GlobalVariable’ has no member named ‘getValueType’
The error goes away when I upgrade to llvm-3.7
So anyway what version of llvm is recommended for the OCL2.0 branch?
Thanks,
Andrew
