Hi guys and gals (if there are any gals...), hope everyone's doing ok and is being kept nice and busy with working on 0.8 alpha :-)
Just a quick update to tell you all that I have a new Belenix folder on my ftp server, since I spent 3 days migrating it from a 160GB hard drive on a PIII 733MHz machine with 256MB of RAM to now a PIV 3.4GHz machine with 200GB primary HD and 1GB of memory. Still not wOw factor but is much better then before!! And still no much needed 12TB RAID 0 array ;-P Currently there is the Nimbus Belenix theme that I built for Gnome2 taken from Solaris 10 Nimbus theme but reworked the JDS Gnome launcher icon to a Belenix JDS launcher icon with no Java coffee cup but Belenix logo, also I have the Midnight Gamma theme on there too for KDE4 with custom JDS icon currently. - if anyone wants to try this theme with the alpha of 0.8 please let me know how it works as unfortunately as some of you guys are aware I don't have any computers that are my own not my families left to run any thing on let alone Solaris in all incarnations. (My 512MB laptop has definitely had it as even Linux struggles on this system now so plan soon is to retire it and use either CLI only mode or install FreeBSD as I think it has the lowest memory footprint out of all UNIX's) Anyway, all the instructions for KDE4 and the theme are on the FTP site so go check it out :-) Components included: Icon theme, Color theme, Midnight Commander INI file, Konsole (kterm) color theme and settings + instructions Address: ftp://ftp.optiplex-networks.com/belenix/ I will load the rest of the themes on there within the next few weeks as I'm multiplexing Cisco CCNA certification exam which is gona be taken tomorrow, job seeking, home data center work (currently working on VoIP gateway using Asterisk from Trixbox), Belenix, and many other things...... ---reason why I'm tied up to a DSLAM in the first place ;-P {ok ok I know bad joke! No tomato throwing though capeesh} --Kaya
