I have an acer aspire 2920. Moinak used for some time as well. The only problem I recall was with the ethernet port not getting detected, but Moinak found out a driver to fix ( Moinak: you will remember the details better than I can )
nwamd was broken, as expected, but that was not any h/w fault.
