Wow, cool :-D

 This is great news!!!

Thanks Sriram I will do exactly that. Originally I intended to have Conky and
Gkrellm system monitors aswell but after testing them in KDE4 they really don't
work well so that idea is scrapped, however since the new Belenix will have
Gnome2 also I figure that they will work much better there....

http://www.optiplex-networks.com/capture/screen.html for further details! Pay
attention the green and red screens which I developed using Debian Sarge and
Etch and call them CyberOS and HellFyreOS respectively.

Because of KDE4's different handling of desktop GFX information I am not able
to get transparency working with the Conky and Gkrellm system monitors at all
meaning that they look pretty bad. :-(

Perhaps an idea might be to have one KDE based live CD and one Gnome based
one?? Just a thought as die hard fans of each desktop environment really do
swear by them and don't like change. Also some Linux distro's have gone that
way too.

Another interesting point which I am going to look at is using the startup
sounds from Knoppix Linux live cd upon boot and shutdown. I have tried to
implement this in Debian, sort of a reverse engineering hack which failed
abysmally. I have the sound data files in .ogg format backed up on my network
so I just need to revise on where exactly Knoppix included them. I am not sure
if we could release the system with them on though as Knoppix is already using
them and I am uncertain about the licensing if there is any at all.
- These aren't the standard sounds post KDM when KDE d.e. starts up but pre KDM
after GRUB boot launcher if my memory serves me well.... it has been a few
years.

Anyway this can all be discussed later when the actual alpha is out and I can
gain full hands on to the new system!

Regards,

Kaya

Would you believe I was just drafting a mail on KDE 4 themes for Belenix ?

Please take this ahead - let's include your theme on the next release
of Belenix :)
