Hmm.... perhaps it's my misunderstanding, although I don't use social 
networking sites at ALL but I thought sites like 
Linked in and Xing were just like professional versions of Facebook or MySpace 
etc.

Since I've never worked anywhere as of yet obviously I won't manage to get any 
contacts that way so all I can rely on is 
adding them as friends. I guess in the Pro world it will be about 10 years or 
so before I get noticed by anyone if at all!
Provided that companies and firms start recruiting again. I've had a lot of 
interest but no one's recruiting and it's my 
idea that everyday longer I am not in a job I loose my value a little bit more 
as it's one day less experience??

Oh well tough times I guess and these things can't be helped.
