Good, BeleniX is only slightly different. > How can I add software; openoffice... > language for KDE, upgrade Belenix... > Install the package manager: pfexec pkgadd http://www.belenix.org/binfiles/SFEspkg.pkg pfexec spkg updatecatalog Running the 'spkg' command without arguments prints a detailed help. You can run spkg available | more to list all the software and also visit http://pkg.belenix.org/ and http://belenix.v12.su/ to see various software packages including multimedia stuff that are available. BeleniX upgrade works similar to pkg image-update in OpenSolaris. You can run: spkg upgrade base <release tag> to upgrade the base OS to a newer build. Running spkg available -r prints all the release tags available. For eg. to upgrade your OS to the current B111 you can use: spkg upgrade base belenix_0.7.1_b111 Of course spkg upgrade all will upgrade every package in the release if new versions are available. OpenOffice and other stuff are all available in the repository. > I hope help how can I begin with Belenix. > > I have AMD CPU and now Belenix works fine. > Regards, Moinak. -- ================================ http://www.belenix.org/ http://moinakg.wordpress.com/
