Disable the kdm service and boot again. From then on, you should be
able to boot directly into command line.

At the grub menu, choose "e" to edit the boot entry.
Add "-m milestone=multi-user" to the boot entry
Choose "b" to boot using the entry.
You now enter the maintenance mode. Disable the kdm service
$ svcadm disable /application/graphical-login/kdm
Now reboot.

You should be able to go to command line directly.
