Only by 0.8 Retrofitting may not be worth the effort since the retrofit related work will remain alive only for a few weeks (till 0.8 is released). That effort is better spent on activities identified to stay in future versions. But if someone is willing to experiment as a hobby project, we can consider putting it in. -Shiv
