Folks:

I just wanted to let you know that I've been using rpm for about a
week on Belenix. Once Moinak returns, we'll have some testing from his
side as well.

I don't have any Belenix packages to give out, since I'm making some
mistakes in my svr4 packaging. I hope to have this fixed this weekend.

Based on reading and experimentation so far:
- spec files are easy to create and test
- rpm and rpmbuild work well
- we may be able to convert most of the Belenix spec files to rpm easily.

If you like/dislike rpm/yum, don't worry - there's an excellent tool
called the "smart package manager" which too works well.

Just in case we decide that we can't use Nexenta's zfs-aware apt and
dpkg, we have an alternate package manager in place :)
