Yes, we use axel. Just some cross checks: have you verified if axel can or cannot work the same as aria2c ? Does aria2c provide a multi-segmented download like axel?
Could you provide modifications to the install-belenix script which detects and uses aria2c if that's available. I can test this for you at my workplace. One of the Bangpypers, Anand Balachandra Pillai, had developed a multi-segmented downloader in python. We could ask him if he has some solution to this requirement too. -- Ram On 9/7/10, kunal ghosh <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi all, > to download packages from the repository, we use axel (in belenix) right ? > In my college we have an authentication proxy, and found aria2c much more > customizable (works from behind the proxy with some options) as compared > to axel, i think for belenix, we must use aria2c instead of axel for the > reason > mentioned above. > > -- > regards > ------- > Kunal Ghosh > Dept of Computer Sc. & Engineering. > Sir MVIT > Bangalore,India > > Blog:kunalghosh.wordpress.com > Website:www.kunalghosh.net46.net > -- Sent from my mobile device Belenix: www.belenix.org _______________________________________________ belenix-discuss mailing list http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/belenix-discuss http://groups.google.com/group/belenix-discuss
