As per Gnome schedule, 2.14 will be released on 13/15th March, 2006.

IMO, it will be best if we start working from 1st Feb, 2006 -- Release of "GNOME 2.14.0 Beta 1". So no more major string change will be there. And we will get around 40 days to update translations for 2.14.0.

IMO, it might not be a very nice idea per se. Every week, the string changes are enormous and this will pile up so badly that by 1st February we might be looking at a plunge from the present 78% to abt 50%, if not more. Additionally there is the chance of packages being branched out, in which case the changes made currently in October will languish in the HEAD and the branched out packages will not be updated and again we lose on the stats. IMHO, it might be better if we do not disrupt the current flow but take it albeit a little slow. Since most of the volunteers set aside a little spare time from their busy schedule for this work, perhaps we can monitor and update the files weekly/fortnightly. This way we will not drop too badly and the work can be consistently done. This lack of consistency was what got us into trouble in the past.

Perhaps every weekend, someone can make a list of all the files that are incomplete or which have had changes made onto them and sent it out to the list/translators along with the name with the last translator, so that modifications can be made onto it. Even if we do it weekly or fortnightly the we can get ample time for reviewing and comfortably finish the work.

>Mak: Where is "gnome-applets-locations" ?? Let us know the status! We can get 80% status in Gnome 2.12.2 if we can submit this file translated.

Mak, do let me know if u need any help. btw... last time when i did this one... i scheduled the task according to alphabets. This way it can be done faster and w/o too much pressure.
